20 000th SA-built Mahindra Pik Up Rolls of Production Line

Following six years of producing the Pik Up in South Africa, Mahindra has announced the 20 000th Pik Up has rolled off the automaker’s SA-based production line. Just before Mahindra will celebrate its 20th anniversary in South Africa (in October 2024), the local arm of the Indian automaker has announced that, following starting SA production of the Pik Up on 25 May, 2018, the 20 000th Pik Up has rolled off the company’s Durban-based assembly line. The 20 000th example came in the shape of the Pik Up S6 4×4. September Fuel Price Decrease Not as Significant as Initially Hoped

Initial data from the global oil price at the beginning of August ushered in a positive sentiment for the pending September fuel price adjustment and mid-month data from the Central Energy Fund have now confirmed this. Looking for your next new or used car? Find it here with CARmag! The Central Energy Fund (CEF) has noted a decrease of between 65 cents for Unleaded 93 and 70 cents for Unleaded 95. Diesel could also decrease by as much as 53 cents for 50 ppm and 50 cents for 500 ppm. This isn’t as significant as initially expected and it is worth noting that these are predictions at this point and the official fuel price will only be announced ahead of the first Wednesday of September.
