Mahindra hasn’t confirmed anything new for the local market but we have our suspicions that we will see some updates in the lineup as well as the potential introduction of its off-roading nameplate.  Looking for a new or used vehicle? Find it here with CARmag.  The provisional fuel price is subject to change based on many global and local factors, but a look at the Central Energy Fund’s ( CEF ) mid-month suggests minimal adjustments for January 2024 courtesy of minimal fluctuations. The projections indicate a slight increase of 7 cents per litre for Petrol Unleaded 93 but that is where the bad news ends. Lexus has confirmed that it will be bringing its more plush and luxurious version of the venerated new Toyota Land Cruiser. Here is what we know ahead of 2025!  Looking for a new or used vehicle? Find it here with CARmag.  Confirmed: based on the impressive new Land Cruiser Prado (tested in October 2024), the GX will make landfall in SA in 2025. At time of writing, local engine options were yet to be revealed. However, whereas the Lexus’ Toyota sibling is currently available with only the Japanese automaker’s tried-and-tested 2.8-litre turbodiesel, the GX was revealed with two powertrain options: a (260 kW/650 N.m) 3.5-litre, twin-turbo V6 petrol and a 2.4-litre, turbo-four petrol-hybrid.
