Manhart MHX5 700 turns X5 M Competition to 11 in latest creation
No matter how potent a car may be, there will always be a tuning company that will tweak it to the next level. If the X5 M Competition lacks enough oomph, owners can commission German tuning company Manhart to create their own Manhart MHX5 700 which pushes figures into ludicrous territory.
Manhart is no stranger to pushing the envelope. The 700 in the name is a bit of a giveaway albeit a slight understatement because the 4.4-liter V8 generates 730 hp (544 kW) and 900 N.m with credit to the Manhart MHtronik auxiliary control unit or alternatively through an ECU remap. The figures are greatly increased from a stock 460 kW and 750 N.m. Upgrades also allow for a more sonorous exhaust note with a stainless steel system with valve control which is highly customisable to the needs of the commissioner. This is what the previous model sounded like.
To cope with the power increases, the Manhart MHX5 700 can optionally equip the already high-performance braking system from factory at request. H&R lowering springs may limit its ability over certain terrain but improves driving dynamics and creates a more menacing appearance.
In addition to the aggressive stance, the SUV sits on satin black Concave One wheels at a size of 10.5×22 inches with some mild gold rim decoration which is carried over throughout the car albeit in a less subtle manner. 295/30ZR22 Rubber wraps the 22 inch rims. A complete Manhart body kit manufactured from carbon fibre lines the extremities of the car with gold pinstripes detailing some of the components.
The interior is mostly the same as before with only upgraded shift paddles, embroidered floor mats and a carbon fibre trimmed steering wheel.
Pricing for upgrades to the premium Bavarian SUV flagship are eye watering but if you want an SUV turned to 11, the Manhart MHX5 700 workover may be the solution.
