Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Johannesburg awarded second “Retain” award

The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy needs no introduction and interestingly, the luxury automotive manufacturer enjoyed a record financial year year in 2021 with an increase in sales of 49%.

The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Reginal Dealer Conference is a celebration of the partners and dealerships, highlighting the outstanding performance of standout retailers. The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Johannesburg team received the “Retain” accolade, awarded to the best performing divisions at the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Regional Dealer Conference.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars takes home the ‘Retain’ award for the second year in a row.

The award was one of the four awards that highlighted different qualities that each dealership should strive for. The awards are titled; Engage, Entertain, Retain, and Customer Centricity. This year’s celebration marks the second occasion where the Johannesburg division has received the “Retain” accolade

Justin Divaris, CEO of Daytona Group – sole importers and distributors of Rolls-Royce in South Africa – commented that Daytona is comprised of a team of passionate and dedicated individuals. Despite the pandemic and other hindrances in the last year, Rolls-Royce figures have seen a marked increase compared to the previous year’s numbers.

According to Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive, “2021 was a phenomenal year for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. We delivered more cars than at any time in the marque’s 117-year history with unprecedented demand for all products in every global market.”

Spectre, due to be unveiled at the end of 2022, will feature a new Spirit of Ecstasy.

César Habib, Director for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East & Africa, mentioned that the priority moving forward in 2022 would be the idea of “Customer Centricity”. The luxury automotive brand prides itself on the pedigree and excellency that is associated with its brand and with that in mind, aims to maintain and improve on this year on year. With a range consisting of iconic models such as the Phantom and Ghost, Rolls-Royces sales figures are looking positive and could continue this trend in 2022. The Rolls-Royce Spectre is set to be the latest addition to the firm’s lineup, representing Goodwood’s first fully-electric vehicle and ushering a new era for the world’s superlative automotive manufacturer.
