Purchasing a certified pre-owned Bugatti is now a thing for those interested

One-percenters looking for a bargain deal on a 400 km/h+ road car may find resolution with the certified pre-owned Bugatti programme. We can’t imagine the W16-powered behemoths will be cheap though.

Most automotive brands pride themselves in their pre-owned selection. Sure, they never receive the same attention as new models but the cycle of trading-in keeps many dealerships in the green. It is a way to assure customers are buying a used vehicle that still retains the quality of a new vehicle. Well, a certified pre-owned Bugatti is officially part of the program the high-end manufacturer is offering to potential clientele.

The program will be limited to a Bugatti Chiron or Veyron which have been used and have racked up some mileage. Bugatti states: “Those who choose to purchase a pre-owned Veyron or Chiron through an authorized Bugatti Partner will be able to do so safe in the knowledge that the vehicle they are buying exhibits the incomparable quality expected of the Bugatti macaron.”

All models purchased through the pre-owned Bugatti program will include a one-year limited warranty which is great news when considering how much a job as simple as an oil change can cost. This includes parts and labour for mechanical or electrical faults while any corrosion and paintwork defects are also covered.

For any prospective pre-owned Bugatti buyers, there is solace in knowing that the limited warranty applies globally although any warranty-related work will have to be completed at an authorized Bugatti Service Partner and to our knowledge, none exist in South Africa since there are only a handful of foreign registered models roaming our roads. 

Considering a carbon fibre pool table costs R4,6 million, don’t expect to find anything cheap either!
