Alfa Romeo revitalises Giulia and Stelvio with minor updates
Minor treatment has been imparted onto the ageing but timeless Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia models until their replacements arrive in the future. In addition, the Italian automaker has launched a Competizione trim for both models.
This marks the most significant updates for the luxury models from the Tornino-based automaker since their debut several years ago. The Giulia, which arrived in 2016 and Stelvio the following year have carried the premium firm’s sales for the past few years but the latest update signals the most comprehensive update yet.

Both models have undergone a modest yet noticeable update on the exterior and interior. Starting on the outside, both the SUV and sedan have received refreshed headlights which realign the veteran models with the recently released Tonale SUV. Full-LED Adaptive Matrix headlights will feature on both models with three design DRLs adding to a nighttime signature. At the rear, the Giulia boasts mildly adapted taillights which sit behind a transparent material. The Stelvio on the other hand has a smoky finish to the lens. The Scudetto grille has received some modest treatment too.
Moving inside, things look almost identical to before save for a new 12,3-inch TFT instrument cluster in front of the driver. The fully digital dials do away with the analogue setup and boast three selectable layouts including Evolved, Relaxed and Heritage. The latter takes inspiration from the automaker’s heyday in the 1960s and 1970s.
The model lineup will also be simplified to four trim levels including Super, Sprint, Ti and Veloce but Alfa Romeo has also introduced a Competizione special series to commemorate the launch of the updated models. The derivative will be available with any engine and includes Moon Light matte gray exterior, red brake calipers behind 21-inch horseshoe alloys. Inside, the model will receive Harman/Kardon audio, headrest badges and leather upholstery with red stitching on all interior surfaces.
This update may take the models into their retirement with their replacements expected to become fully electric to reach mandates by the end of the decade.
