Maserati celebrates Granturismo at Milan Design Week

At this year’s Milan Design Week, Maserati has unveiled three one-of-a-kind models based on their new GranTurismo, showcasing the capabilities of their Fuoriserie personalization program.

Among these models is the impressive Maserati GranTurismo Ouroboros, a digital-only creation by Hiroshi Fu jiwara, a Japanese “street culture innovator” and avid Maserati enthusiast.

The Ouroboros, which is based on the fully electric GranTurismo Folgore, boasts a unique styling treatment with bespoke parts that make it look like a coach-built special. The redesigned front end features round headlights inspired by the Tipo 151 racecar and a shiny grille reminiscent of the A6GCS Berlinetta Pininfarina. The profile has been updated with fender vents from the classic 3500 GT and a new set of forged wheels styled after the magnesium wheels of the Bora. The rear, on the other hand, takes cues from the Shamal and features hidden pixel LED taillights behind a full-width fascia.

While the Ouroboros is a digital-only creation, the other two one-offs, created by Centro Stille, are physically present at the event. The Maserati GranTurismo Prisma is the most colourful version of the model to date, painted with 14 different colours, with the names of Maserati models, made up of 8 500 hand-applied letters. The exterior hues, two of which are new, were taken from the colour palette of GranTurismo’s predecessors such as the 1947 Maserati A6 1 500 and the 1973 Maserati Khamsin. Based on the GranTurismo Trofeo, this one-off boasts a twin-turbo 3,0-litre V6 engine that produces 410 kW of power.

The Maserati GranTurismo Luce, the last of the three one-offs, is an impressive “chromatic mirrored monolith” with a highly reflective finish and a laser-etched pattern of dots on the bodywork. The interior, featuring sustainable Econyl upholstery, transitions from blue to creme white like the waves of the sea. The Luce is powered by a zero-emission powertrain with a trio of electric motors producing a combined 560 kW of power and a 92,5 kWh battery pack.
