Limited to a production run of just 1 000 units, the Nissan Skyline Nismo is designed to provide enhanced speed and performance while maintaining the comfort of the standard model.

Following the unveiling of the Nismo version of the Nissan Z sports car, the Skyline Nismo continues the brand’s pursuit of blending racing technologies and expertise with everyday driving. The primary goal of the Skyline Nismo models is to offer a sedan that delivers both driving excitement and comfort.

Under the metal, the Skyline Nismo boasts a modified 3,0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, producing an impressive 309 kW and 550 N.m of torque. Drivers can choose from three driving modes: Standard, Sport, and Sport+. The latter two modes come with optimized transmission settings for quicker gear changes, enhancing the driving experience.

In typical Nismo fashion, performance upgrades accompany distinctive visual enhancements. The suspension has been specially tuned to reduce roll and the car features exclusive 19-inch Enkei wheels that are both lighter and stronger than those on other Skylines. These wheels accommodate slightly wider tyres at the rear, while upgraded brake pads and a retuned ABS system contribute to shorter stopping distances.

Aesthetic changes include redesigned front and rear bumpers with striking red accents, Nismo badges, fog lights, and a distinctive front grille to improve cooling. Inside, the Skyline Nismo stands out with a new leather-wrapped steering wheel, a tachometer highlighted by a red ring, black Recaro seats and various touches of suede upholstery.

The Skyline Nismo will be available in two trim levels: 900 units in the standard configuration and 100 Skyline Nismo Limited versions. The Limited edition will feature exclusive gunmetal wheels, an engine plaque displaying the name of the engine builder, and a unique serial plate showcasing the production number and a special logo.

This is the latest of Nissan’s work which continues the brand’s commitment to driver oriented cars. Unfortunately it will not be available in South Africa.
