This groundbreaking vehicle is the inaugural supercar hailing from the Baltic state of Lithuania, born and crafted in Kaunas, 100 km away from the capital city of Vilnius. Surprisingly, it was conceived by yacht engineers who had minimal experience in the automotive world by painstakingly developing the car from scratch. All monocoque design, chassis, bodywork, interior, and electronics were done by themselves. While the prototype borrowed the engine from an ‘Audi R8’, the ‘Kit Car’ model offers the freedom to install various engines, allowing drivers to experience the thrill of a racing car on both roads and tracks.

Lithuania has contributed individual components to major car manufacturers, but until now, the country had never manufactured its own car, aside from a few prototypes. The Rhino RR01, entirely designed and intended for small-scale production in Kaunas, marks a new era. The RR01, classified as a kit car, comes in separate components making it ideal for enthusiasts wanting to get their hands dirty and €25 000 (R515 000) to spend before delivery and taxes for the entry-level offering.

Customers receive boxes containing the monocoque, chassis, body, and mechanical parts, enabling them to choose their preferred engine and transmission without requiring extensive technical know-how. Buyers can acquire the powertrain separately, featuring a 5,2-litre V10 engine sourced from an Audi R8. Rhino guarantees a complete rebuild with new internal components, accompanied by a custom-built racing sequential gearbox, motorsport ECU, and limited-slip differential. Though specific details are scarce, the car is rear-wheel drive with 358 kW of power.

Equipped with AP Racing brakes with six-piston callipers at the front and rear, the car also includes six-point harnesses and a 7-inch infotainment system. Primarily track-focused, it boasts polycarbonate windows, 19-inch Toyo tyres, an aluminium monocoque chassis, and a roll cage. Notable features include a fibreglass body, fully adjustable double wishbone suspension, three-way adjustable dampers, and a sport steering wheel with an integrated 4.3-inch display.
