Aston Martin has unveiled the latest addition to its illustrious GT racing lineup, the Vantage GT4. This new offering complements the recent debuts of the AMR24 Formula One racing car and the Vantage GT3 challenger, further solidifying the brand’s commitment to motorsport excellence.

Crafted by Aston Martin Racing (AMR), the Vantage GT4 is engineered to cater to racing teams and circuit enthusiasts, showcasing Aston Martin’s prowess on the track.

Adam Carter, Head of Endurance Motorsport at Aston Martin, underscores the evolutionary nature of the Vantage GT4. Leveraging advancements from the new Vantage road car while preserving the core attributes that made its predecessor a favourite among drivers, the GT4 boasts significant aerodynamic and cooling enhancements. Utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) insights and drawing from Aston Martin’s design department, the car’s sleek exterior design optimizes performance, enhancing agility and stability during high-speed manoeuvres.

Despite its racing pedigree, the Vantage GT4 maintains a user-friendly approach, catering to both seasoned racers and amateur drivers. Suspension modifications aimed at improving driver feedback ensure an engaging and accessible driving experience without compromising on-track performance. AMR has adhered to regulations, limiting modifications to approximately 80% of the car’s structural and mechanical architecture. Notable changes include the integration of a full custom roll cage and selective suspension adjustments to meet racing standards while preserving the car’s integrity and handling characteristics.

Under the surface, the Vantage GT4 packs a punch with its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, derived from the Vantage road car. Engineered with bespoke software by AMR, the powertrain delivers performance tailored for the track. The transmission, also derived from the road car, benefits from advanced ZF/AMR Motorsport software, enabling precise control and lightning-fast gear changes.
