Audi Celebrates RS4 Avant with More Powerful Edition 25 Years Model

Celebrating a quarter of a century of the RS4 Avant, Audi has unwrapped a limited-edition model boasting more power and several performance-focused items as standard. Here’s what you can expect from the RS4 Avant edition 25 years…

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the RS4 Avant, Audi has introduced to its line-up a special-edition model boasting an array of performance-focused upgrades, the most notable of which coming in the shape of an uprated powertrain, tweaks to the suspension, and the fitment of carbon-ceramic brakes, housed in 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa rubber, as standard. However, in addition to the latter tyres, the package ships with a set of Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tyres, specifically designed for track use.

For the limited-edition RS4 Avant, the brand with the four rings has tuned the standard 2.9-litre V6 engine, which, as a reminder, produces 331 kW, to now deliver 346 kW, an increase of 15 kW. Torque output has remained unchanged, with the turbocharged unit churning out 600 N.m from 2 000 to 5 000 r/min.

In addition, the increase in power has resulted in a quicker 0-100 km/h sprint time. According to the Ingolstadt-based brand, the RS4 Avant edition 25 years completed the obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.7 seconds, four-tenths of a second quicker than the standard model. The top speed has also increased. The special edition maxes out at 300 km/h. (As a reminder, the standard RS4 Avant’s top speed is electronically governed to 250 km/h, or 280 km/h when ticking the correct option box).

For added on-road (and track) stability, this RS4 Avant has also been handed suspension tweaks. The anniversary model’s suspension is 10 mm lower as standard, and can be lowered by an additional 10 mm manually.
