Renault, the official “premium” partner of Roland-Garros, has whipped the wraps off the Renault 5 E-Tech Roland-Garros edition, a special-series model taking inspiration from the French Open tennis tournament, scheduled to take place from 20 May to 9 June, 2024.

Setting this special edition apart from the standard Renault 5 E-Tech, the Renault 5 E-Tech Roland-Garros is equipped with an array of model-specific elements, outside and in. The former includes the placement of Roland-Garros logos on the lower part of the front doors. Specially designed alloy wheels are also included with the package. The exterior colour palette comprises a quartet of body hues. The latter includes pearl white, midnight blue, starry black, and an “exclusive” shade of matte slate grey.

The interior features “special” grey upholstery, replete with a “dense” graphic weave. The “fully recycled” textile includes a number of open-weave features. In addition, Roland-Garros logos have been embossed into the backrests of the front pews. A neat element, the ‘e-pop’ gear selector, which also features a Roland-Garros logo, takes inspiration from a tennis racket’s grip, while the centre console-sited wireless smartphone charging pad is reminiscent of the French Open’s red clay courts. ‘Red clay’ loop-pile mats are also present.
