“While the C5 range was competitively priced right from the outset, we believe this smartly specified new Style derivative will help us to welcome even more customers into the Omoda family, “ said Hans Greyling, General Manager of Omoda and Jaecoo.
Omoda C5 Style Pricing
The Omoda C5 Style is priced from R359 900, making it R88 000 less expensive than the former entry-level C5, the 1.5T 230T Lux. Included in the asking price are a two-year/30 000 km service plan and a vehicle warranty spanning five years or 150 000 km. However, for the first owner, a 10-year/1 million km engine warranty is also standard.

In terms of specification, the local arm of the Chinese brand says the C5 Style’s list of standard features is lengthy. Included in the package are a leather-trimmed steering wheel, front sports seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument binnacle, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which incorporates wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system, a reverse-view camera, automatic climate control, and cruise control. Automatic LED headlamps and 17-inch alloys are also present.

The powertrain has remained the same as that employed by its stablemates (bar the flagship C5 GT, which is equipped with a 1.6-litre turbo-four producing 145 kW and 290 N.m). The C5 Style is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbopetrol, which transfers 115 kW and 230 N.m of torque exclusively to the front axle via a CVT. Omoda claims an average fuel consumption figure of 6.9 L/100 km.
