Kicking things off, the Japanese carmaker’s in-vogue compact crossover/SUV can be had in Xs and XR levels of specification. Xs trim grade ships with convenience features such as an Apple CarPlay/Android Auto-enabled 7.0-inch, touch-enabled infotainment display, which relays tunes via a four-speaker sound system; three USB charging ports, and cruise control.

On top of the above features, the XR models gain a head-up display, wireless charging, a 360-degree panoramic camera setup, and keyless entry and start, while the infotainment display is upgraded to a 9.0-inch unit.

The two transmission options are a five-speed manual and an automatic shifter with four cogs. Endowed with the former and latter, the Starlet Cross’ 77 kW/138 N.m 1.5-litre atmospheric four-pot sips, on average, 5.6 and 5.8 L/100 km, respectively.
