Following the debut of a box-fresh (or updated) BMW, especially those of the performance variety, such as the new-generation M5, the German marque, sometimes rather quickly, reveals an array of M Performance parts for the newly unveiled model. In July 2024, the latter came in the shape of the aforementioned performance saloon. Now, the Bavarian brand has whipped the wraps off its latest M Performance parts package; this time handing the new X3 a variety of “sportier”-looking design elements.

So, what components can be had with the new M Performance parts pack? Well, for starters, a three-part M Performance front splitter (a first for the X3), which is finished in high-gloss black. There are also a M Performance rear diffuser and bumper, M Performance tailpipe trim, a roof-mounted rear spoiler, and M Carbon exterior mirrors. M Performance side decals is also available. In addition, the kit includes the option of 22-inch light-alloy wheels, or 20-inch items finished in a Jet Black matte hue. However, the M Performance bits aren’t exclusive to the exterior. M Performance interior elements include aluminium door sill trim, stainless steel pedals, and floor mats.

As a reminder, the four-strong fourth-generation X3 line-up is available with the choice of two turbopetrol engines, a single turbodiesel option, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, the latter of which comprises a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbopetrol that is coupled with an electric motor. Combined the electrified internal combustion unit produces 220 kW and 450 N.m of torque. The petrol-only engines include a 153 kW/330 N.m 2.0-litre four-pot and 3.0-litre inline-six of the pinnacle (until a new X3 M arrives, that is) X3 M50 xDrive (pictured here), which churns out 293 kW and 580 N.m. The 2.0-litre oil-burner produces 145 kW and 400 N.m.
