Aston Martin says the Vantage Roadster brings all the performance, dynamic sensations and visual excitement of its coupé stablemate together with the thrills provided by open-top driving.

Said Adrian Hallmark, Chief Executive Officer of the British marque, “The technical and dynamic capability of the new Vantage delivered outstanding performance; far beyond any other preceding Vantage […] The Vantage Roadster was no different feat in that it is a fully reinvented experience, with all the benefits of the Coupé and no compromise to refinement or performance […] The Vantage Roadster delivers a world-class roof-down driving experience like no other.”

Like its Vantage Coupé sibling, which we tested in the January 2025 Performance Issue of CAR magazine, the Vantage Roadster employs a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The front-mounted unit produces a healthy 489 kW and 800 N.m of torque, exclusively sent to the rear axle via an eight-speed automatic cog swapper. Aston Martin says these figures allow the drop-top to complete the obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.6 seconds, one-tenth of a second slower than the coupé variant’s claimed time, before topping out at 325 km/h.

Speaking of time, the luxury automaker claims the Vantage Roadster sports the “fastest” electronically-folding convertible roof currently available. The fabric roof opens and closes in “just” 6.8 seconds, the firm says, at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

Stopping power is provided by a steel braking system, comprising 400 mm front and 360 mm rear discs, and six-piston fore and four-piston aft callipers. A carbon-ceramic setup — replete with 410 mm and 360 mm discs, front and rear — is also available. The Vantage Roadster is fitted with a set of 21-inch alloy wheels, shod in 275/35- and 325/30-size Michelin rubber.
