Giugiaro’s Commissioned Peralta S is a Wedge-Shaped Alloy Beauty

Giugiaro is regarded as the greatest automotive designer ever, and the famed Italian automotive designer has seemingly harked back to the design iconism of 1970s conceptual supercars while merging the wedge-shaped design with the aesthetics of the alloy-finished Tesla Cybertruck. Say hello to the one-off Peralta S!

Named automotive designer of the 20th century, Giorgetto Giugiaro is the undisputed great of creating the most iconic vehicles of the past. Continuing his name and tradition is GFG Style which was founded by the Italian visionary Giorgetto and his son Fabrizio. Their latest work has seen the covers whipped off of a wedge-shaped piece of motoring perfection dubbed the Peralta S, which will be a one-off. This bespoke supercar was commissioned by Mexican collector Carlos Peralta and his sons, Juan Carlos and Nicolas, and made its debut at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico on March 22, 2025.

The Peralta S very obviously draws inspiration from a time of wedge-shape excess. The lines and overall profile are reminiscent of Giorgetto Giugiaro’s iconic 1971 Maserati Boomerang concept, albeit with some modernised details which seem to be inspired by Tesla’s Cybertruck bakkie. Designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro, the wedge-shaped profile features a handcrafted aluminium body with a mirror-polished finish that seamlessly integrates with expansive glass surfaces, achieving a monolithic appearance.

Distinctive design elements include side windows that swing upwards in a gullwing fashion and a forward-lifting canopy like Gandini’s Stratos Zero. The interior is tailored to the owner’s specifications, combining materials such as leather, aluminium, and carbon fibre to create a luxurious yet functional environment.

Although unconfirmed, the Peralta S is believed to be based on the Maserati MC20 platform which would mean it rides on the hypercar’s carbon fibre chassis and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. Should the powertrain remain as it was from the factory, it would power the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with 463 kW and 730 N.m. In the case of the MC20, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 325 km/h but since so little is known of this one-off Peralta S, no confirmation on performance can be provided.
