The Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM is based on a fully restored Mk5 Sportspack model, but incorporates an entirely bespoke styling package, the latter drawing inspiration from Wood & Pickett’s coachbuilding legacy and CALLUM’s contemporary designs.
Finished in bespoke Anthracite metal paintwork, the exterior features new head- and taillamp housings, and “unique” fore and aft valances, and side sills. The revised rear end, along with the former items, have been engineered to improve the car’s cooling and aerodynamic properties. The original Wood and Pickett wheelarches further add to this Mini’s distinctive design. The set of 13-inch alloy wheels have been specially developed for this restoration project.

According to the UK company, while the exterior is distinctive, the transformation the interior has underwent is even more striking. Paying homage to Wood and Pickett’s ‘Margrave’ interiors, the cabin’s design is an amalgamation of retro and contemporary styling cues. The hand-built limited edition’s interior features a newly designed dashboard, ‘Tan Bridge of Weir’ leather upholstery, CALLUM-trimmed seats and a ‘Piano’ switch package, which includes tactile metal bezels.
Sited below the bonnet, the rebuilt 1 310 cm3 Stage 3 engine is coupled with a re-engineered gearbox and produces 82 kW. In addition, the ECU has been retuned for more responsive power delivery. A bespoke twin-exhaust system is also present. For improved handling and road holding, the Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM has been fitted with a road-tuned suspension kit. The brakes have also been upgraded.
Said Ian Callum, Design Director at CALLUM:
“The Mini is one of the most important cars ever created, not just for its innovative engineering, but for what it represents culturally as a symbol of British ingenuity and style. It’s a car that broke the rules and became a global icon. To reimagine it through the lens of CALLUM, with Wood and Pickett’s craftsmanship, has been deeply rewarding.”
So, how much can you expect to pay for this limited-edition reimagined Mini? Well, with a starting price of £75 000, at the current Rand-Pound exchange rate the Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM will set you back R1 846 044.
