The third-generation Haval H6 was introduced to our market in 2021, followed by the HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) variant and sportily styled GT model a year later. In addition to the former derivatives 179 kW/530 N.m 1.5-litre petrol-electric powertrain, the six-strong pre-facelifted H6 line-up could also be had with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbopetrol producing 150 kW/320 N.m in the standard model and 155 kW/325 N.m in the GT. Select standard H6s employing this engine were available with all-wheel drive, while the more powerful version of the latter was exclusively equipped with an all-paw configuration.

The engine options and drivetrains have been carried over to the revised H6 range, though the 2.0-litre turbopetrol has received a 20 kW and 60 N.m bump in power and torque. Total outputs are now listed at 170 kW and 380 N.m, while the updated GT has traded this powertrain in favour of a 342 kW/762 N.m plug-in hybrid (PHEV) arrangement. The claimed performance specs are impressive, with a combined and electric-only operating range of 1 000 and 180 km, respectively, and allow for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.9 seconds. The HEVs total system output remains unchanged.

The revised exterior features newly designed LED head- and taillamps, and a redesigned front grille. Interestingly, the firm has ditched the pre-facelifted model’s now-in-vogue LED light bar. The interior is familiar H6, though it gains a larger, 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and several other tech upgrades.
