Ford Mustang Dark Horse Handed 587 kW By UK Company

UK company Clive Sutton has unveiled the CS800 DH, a supercharged version of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse…and it packs a punch!

UK-based high-performance vehicle specialist Clive Sutton has revealed the CS800 DH, a more hardcore version of Ford’s Mustang Dark Horse, which we evaluated for a road test in the March 2025 issue of CAR magazine. In addition to several cosmetic revisions, the upgrade features a comprehensive suite of performance, handling, and aerodynamic enhancements.

Equipped with a Ford Performance 3.0-litre Whipple supercharger, CS800 DH’s 5.0-litre V8 heart produces a whopping 587 kW and 870 N.m, making it 253 kW and 330 N.m more powerful than the SA-spec model. As a reminder, the US-spec Mustang Dark Horse, which we’ve driven in the US, is endowed with 372 kW and 567 N.m.

In addition, thanks to the fitment of an MGW short-throw racing shifter, the firm says the gear shifts are more engaging. The CS800 DH’s soundtrack is provided courtesy of a Borla ATAK quad exhaust system, replete with a custom H-pipe.

Rolling on Vossen wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, this Mustang Dark Horse’s MagneRide suspension setup has also been tweaked for sharper driving dynamics. Complementing the upgrades is a full carbon-fibre aero package, which includes a bespoke rear wing, revised bonnet, a larger diffuser, a more prominent front splitter, and extended side skirts.

Interior upgrades are customisable, with the option of fully reupholstering the facia, seats, steering wheel, headliner, and door cards in a choice of leather or Alcantara. Customers can also opt for Recaro racing seats that retain the factory heating and cooling functions.

The Clive Sutton CS800 DH is priced between £135 000 and £165 000 (approximately R3.2 million to R4 million), and comes with both Ford Performance and Clive Sutton warranties.
