Prodrive’s State-Of-The-Art Racing Simulator Costs More Than a New Ford Mustang
Prodrive has whipped the wraps off its updated racing simulator, and it’s a thing of beauty. It comes at a price, though.

Billed as the most beautiful of its kind, Prodrive says its updated racing simulator not only brings an immersive racing experience right to your sitting room, but also serves as a piece of art in your living area.
According to the UK brand, this “ultimate simulator centrepiece” blends Prodrive’s four decades of motorsport success with the design flair of one of the world’s most renowned vehicle designers – Ian Callum, who penned the designs of such cars as the 1994 Aston Martin DB7 and 2001 Vanquish, and Jaguar F-Type, to name but a few.
“Every precision-engineered detail has been refined, from the carbon-fibre monocoque to the pedal feel. And of course, it is not just a simulator. Wrapped in Ian Callum’s sculptural design, this is a centre piece that sparks conversation, as well as a truly immersive experience.” said Prodrive Chairman David Richards.

The firm’s revised simulator features a bespoke simulator computer with a 12 GB GeForce RTX graphics card and 16 GB memory; a curved, 49-inch monitor with 5k resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate; a Precision Sim Engineering LM Pro steering wheel, replete with five rotary dials, 12 push buttons, and carbon-fibre paddle shifters; a Simucube 2 Pro steering motor; and an electrically adjustable mechanical pedal box.
Bang & Olufsen HX headphones are included in the package. However, customers have the option of upgrading to a Beoplay H100 unit and an external Beosound A9 speaker.
So, how much can you expect to pay for this state-of-the-art racing simulator? Well, in short, from around £60 000, which, at the current Rand-Pound exchange rate, translates to a whopping R1 431 841.20. For comparison, that’s more than what a 2025 Ford Mustang GT costs in South Africa.
This isn’t the only racing simulator that demands such a high price, though. In 2025, Aston Martin revealed the Valkyrie-inspired AMR-C01-R, which was developed in partnership with Curv Racing, will set you back around R1.3 million.
