The Range Rover SV Black builds on the “standard” SV derivative with its distinctive styling, inside and out. As this special edition’s name will suggest, this model features myriad black trim elements, including for the badging, and a full Narvik Gloss Black Exterior Pack to lend it a more sinister appearance. The carbon-fibre bonnet, 23-inch forged alloy wheels, brake callipers, and quad exhaust outlets are among the items finished in this hue. The theme continues to the interior, which gains Ebony Windsor leather upholstery, Gloss Grand Black trim and unique illuminated treadplates.

This model is based on the Coventry carmaker’s most powerful offering to date, the SV, which employs a 4.4-litre  V8 petrol engine, which incorporates mild-hybrid tech. The twin-turbo mill produces a healthy 467 kW and 750 N.m of torque for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h.

In addition to this Range Rover Sport, Land Rover is set to introduce another variant of the Range Rover Sport SV, which will feature the same powertrain, but gain the firm’s 6D Dynamics suspension (also found on the Defender Octa). So, considering the latter, we expect this upcoming derivative will likely be more off-road-focused.

The Sport SV Black joins an expanding lineup of special Range Rover models, sitting alongside the high-performance Edition One and the carbon fibre-laden Edition Two. Each variant offers a unique design, giving buyers a more distinctive take on the already exclusive SV nameplate.

The order books for the Sport SV Black Edition opens late 2025, with local pricing kicking off at R 3 671 500.
