In celebration of six decades of Volante production, Aston Martin revealed the Vanquish Volante in March 2025. Billed as the fastest and most powerful front-engined convertible on planet Earth, the British marque’s halo drop-top grand tourer has now arrived in South Africa, and we have pricing.

The new Vanquish Volante is priced from R11 499 999. Only 1 000 examples, which includes production of the Vanquish coupé variant, will be built each year.

Both Vanquish models employ a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12, which is endowed with 614 kW and a whopping 1 000 N.m of torque. On tap as soon as the rev needle edges the 6 500 and 2 500 r/min markers, the former and latter are exclusively delivered to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

According to Aston Martin, the Vanquish Volante, which weighs a claimed 95 kg more than the coupé, dispatches the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.4 seconds, making it only one-tenth of a second slower to the three-figure marker than its hardtop sibling. The top speed is rated at 345 km/h.

Sited behind 21-inch wheels, wrapped in 275/35- and 325/30-size Pirelli P Zero AML rubber, front and rear, a carbon-ceramic braking setup, which comprises 410 mm front/360 mm rear disc brakes, and six-piston fore and four-piston aft alloy callipers, brings the Vanquish Volante to a standstill.
