Earlier this year, Volvo Car South Africa confirmed that the EX30 Cross Country will arrive in South Africa towards the end of 2025. The adventure-focused EX30 has now touched down on our shores (be sure to keep an eye on CARmag.co.za for our launch review), and we can report on how much it costs.

2025 Volvo EX30 Cross Country Price in SA

The EX30 Cross Country is priced from R1 165 00. Pricing includes a five-year/100 000 km vehicle warranty, eight-year/160 000 km battery warranty, and a three-year/60 000 km maintenance plan.

The EX30 Cross Country shares its dual electric-motor powertrain with its most powerful sibling, the EX30 Ultra Twin Motor Performance. As a reminder, this all-paw drivetrain produces 315 kW and 543 N.m of torque. A claimed operating range of up to 460 km is available from a single, full charge. The Swedish firm claims this model is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.7 seconds; just one-tenth of a second slower than its Ultra Twin Motor Performance sibling.

Noteworthy, although the EX30 Cross Country is based on the aforementioned model, it gains several model-specific under-the-skin upgrades. The latter includes a specially-tuned chassis and a 19 mm increase in ground clearance (to 190 mm).

Adding to its adventure-focused persona, this EX30 features Cross Country-specific matte black front and rear “shields”, vapour grey fore and aft skid plates, and black wheel arch extensions. Unique alloy wheels are also included with the package. Customers also have the option of specifying the Cross Country Experience package, which features a variety of additional leisure-oriented items, at additional cost.
