5 Most Expensive SUVs in SA
We’ve rounded up the most expensive SUVs available in South Africa in 2025. Here’s the list…
SUVs have become a common sight on South African roads – especially those of the more value- and family-focused variety. However, while the market leans towards models of this ilk (SA’s second best-selling passenger car in July 2025 was a crossover/SUV, no less), there are an array of more aspirational SUVs on offer. Though, they come at a premium. But which of these are the most expensive in SA? We take a look at the top five.
5. Range Rover P615 SV L Black – R5 718 700

Limited editions of already luxurious models further add to their exclusivity, and over the years, Land Rover has produced several special versions of its flagship SUV. Revealed in July 2025, the Range Rover Black is the fifth most expensive SUV in SA…until the (R5 765 000) Bentley Bentayga Speed, which we sampled at the international launch event in Montana in the US officially arrives here. Based on the SV derivative, this Range Rover variant is equipped with a 4.4-litre twinturbo-petrol producing 452 kW and 750 N.m of torque.
4. Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure – R5 825 000

The Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure is an extended wheelbase version of this proud British marque’s ultra-luxury SUV. The Azure derivative is especially focused on occupant wellbeing and comfort, with the package including such items as ‘airline’ seats, and seat auto climate and postural adjustment. The Azure is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol, which produces 404 kW and 770 N.m of torque.
3. Bentley Bentayga EWB Mulliner – R6 731 000

As the pinnacle of the Bentayga SUV lineup, the Bentley Bentayga EWB Mulliner is aimed at offering its driver and occupants unparalleled levels of comfort. This model allows for increased customisation by Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house personalisation division. This long-wheelbase model is powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo octo-thumper as the Azure.
2. Ferrari Purosangue – R11 795 000

Though Ferrari insists the Purosangue, which we’ve driven in Cape Town in August 2024, is not an SUV, considering its taller ride height, we’ve included it in this list. Indeed, the Maranello marque bills the Purosangue an FUV (Ferrari utility vehicle). The Purosangue is the first of its kind to come from the Prancing Horse brand’s stable, and in true Ferrari fashion, it’s powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, which is endowed with a healthy 533 kW and 716 N.m of torque – allowing for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 3.3 seconds.
1. Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II – POA

The updated Rolls-Royce Cullinan, dubbed Series II, was released in May 2024. The Cullinan Series II is propelled by a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 that produces 420 kW and 850 N.m. A Black Badge derivative, which is endowed with 441 kW and 900 N.m of torque, is also available.
