This 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV is a Rare Timecapsule
This unrestored example of the Lamborghini Miura SV has remained hidden in an unsuspecting garage in Italy…until now.

A rare 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV (Super Veloce) was recently found in rural Italy by Simon Kidston and his team of classic car specialists. The extremely sought-after classic, largely considered to be the first supercar, is finished in Bruno Metallizzato, making it one of two known examples sporting this colour scheme. The Raging Bull is believed to be part of a deceased estate, hidden from the world by its late owner.
What we understand is that the previous owner of this Bertone-designed supercar strung potential buyers along for years. Though, after his passing, his family bricked up the palazzo where the Miura was parked, so that it wouldn’t be stolen while they began vetting potential buyers. Kidston reached out to an old school friend of his whom he thought worthy of the rare Miura, and to the dismay of many, he agreed to purchase the vehicle. Kidston and his team wanted to honour the car’s history by keeping it in Italy where it would be preserved and enjoyed instead of being restored.
The car’s unrestored condition tells a story of the vehicle’s history, having changed ownership multiple times in its early life. The first owner is believed to have been a 23-year-old woman, although Kidston believes it was more likely to be a friend or relative trying to keep a low profile. The car was sold two years later, in 1974; the buyer keeping the car for six months before Giuseppe Caprioli purchased it. Caprioli previously owned an Azzurro Mexico blue Miura P400 S, chassis number 4608.
Less than a year later, the Bruno Metallizzato Miura SV was sold by the Lamborghini dealer in Padova to the late owner. The original purchase invoice and retailer’s leather pouch remained in the glovebox during his 45 years of ownership with the original Italian plates intact.
Only two Miura SVs were finished in Bruno Metallizzato, this one being the only European-spec car. The interior is finished in Havana leather upholstery, which bears the marks and wear typical of a car of this vintage – the latter adding character to the classic supercar.
