GWM South Africa has introduced the updated P500 bakkie lineup – of which we sampled the range-topping, HEV derivative at the local launch in 2024 – to South Africa, with the revised model now sporting “bold” new black exterior trim finishes.

In lieu of the pre-facelifted model’s chrome-finished front grille, the refreshed models gain black trim for the latter item, as well as wing mirrors, roof rails, and sports bar. The LED head- and taillamps have received the “smoked-glass” treatment.
