2025 Alfa Romeo Junior in SA: Price & Specs

The first all-electric Alfa Romeo has landed in South Africa, with the Italian automaker’s local arm announcing pricing and specs for the Junior lineup. See pricing below…

The Alfa Romeo Junior has officially launched in South Africa, with the Italian marque’s first all-electric vehicle available in two flavours in our market: Elettrica and Elettrica Veloce.

The Elettrica and Elettrica Veloce are equipped with a single front-mounted electric motor, delivering power to the road via the front wheels. The Elettrica produces 118 kW and 260 N.m of torque, which allows for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 9.0 seconds, the Turin brand says. The “standard” Elettrica tops out at 152 km/h. Spearheading the range, the Veloce model is endowed with 207 kW and 345 N.m – good for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h.

The two-strong local Junior Elettrica lineup is priced from R799 900. Included in the package are a five-year/100 000 km vehicle warranty, eight-year/150 000 km battery warranty, and a five-year/100 000 km service plan.

Included as standard, both models ship with 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, replete with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto screen mirroring, and digital instrumentation, and an array of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The latter includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking. Matrix LED headlamps are also present.

The Junior Elettrica features 18-inch wheels, blue-and-black ‘Icona’ seats, and a six-speaker sound system. The Elettrica Veloce receives a set of 20-inch alloy wheels, a ‘Progresso’ grille, and black-and-red ‘Spiga’ seats. A black roof, ‘Veloce’ badging and red brake callipers complete the sporty aesthetic of the Veloce.
