Scheduled to make its public debut at the 2025 SEMA Show, which takes place from 4-7 November in Las Vegas, the Corolla Cross Nasu Edition – named for Mount Nasu in Japan – is a bespoke concept designed to elevate the standard Corolla Cross beyond its city-focused roots. The Corolla Cross Nasu Edition was designed and built by Toyota’s Service Parts and Accessories Development (SPAD) team. For this year’s SEMA Show, the Japanese automaker says its SPAD engineers challenged themselves to deliver an exciting and functional special edition.
“With the Corolla Cross Nasu Edition, we’re showing how one of our most popular and accessible nameplates can be reimagined to embody Toyota’s adventurous spirit,” said Mike Tripp, Group Vice President of Toyota Marketing. “This concept demonstrates that possibility isn’t limited to our trucks and body-on-frame SUVs — it extends across our lineup. At Toyota, we believe in building vehicles that empower our customers to do more, explore more, and achieve more, and the Nasu Edition is a bold example of that philosophy.”
The Nasu Edition features a raft of off-road-ready upgrades. The latter includes model-specific ‘truck’ wheels, Toyo Open Country A/T III all-terrain tyres, and lifted suspension. The concept model also gains a one-off body kit and features a host of overlanding equipment, including rock sliders, an articulating roof rack, and a drawer system and refrigerator.
“The Corolla Cross is one of the most versatile vehicles in our lineup, and the Nasu Edition shows how much further it can go,” said Steve Park, Senior Product Planner of Toyota and Lexus Vehicle Accessories. “While the inspiration for this build is the adventurous spirit of Mt. Nasu in Japan, ‘nasu’ as a verb in Japanese also means ‘to achieve.’ We hope this build inspires others to build, to experience, and to achieve.”
The Nasu Edition employs a hybrid powertrain comprising a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and three electric motors. This setup, which is not available in our market, produces a total power output of 144 kW. Power is delivered to the road via all for wheels.
