Mattel has announced the winner of its 2025 Hot Wheels Legends Tour, a travelling show in which thousands of vehicles from 16 countries compete to become an actual Hot Wheels model. Pawel Czarnecki’s rally-inspired Fiat 126B, which claimed top honours at the Poland leg of the Legends Tour, was named the global champion. Czarnecki’s customised Fiat will now be inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends and reimagined as a collectable 1:64-scale die-cast model that will be sold worldwide. The build captures the “Garage Spirit” that judges look for in every submission.
Over 2 500 hours of work went into building the mini 126B. Rolling on HTN Motorsport wheels, the car’s widened wheel arches, front bumper, and aero were inspired by the design of 1980s rally cars. The car’s livery also pays homage to the famous Martini livery found on rally cars of that era.
The custom built is equipped with a 150 kW 1.4-litre petrol engine, fitted with a GT28 turbocharger from a Nissan 200SX. The car also features a set of custom coil-overs, Fiat Uno-sourced brakes, and a full roll cage.
Said Ted Wu, global head of vehicles and building sets at Mattel, “From its roots in the US to stops across 16 countries, the Hot Wheels Legends Tour has grown into a truly global celebration of creativity and the automotive community. Car enthusiasts in Poland have shown incredible support for the Tour over the years, and Paweł Czarnecki’s custom Fiat exemplifies the talent and imagination that fans from Poland – and around the world – bring to the Hot Wheels Legends Tour.”
