The XC60 B5 derivative employs a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine coupled with an integrated starter generator (ISG), which is fed by a 48 V battery. The mild-hybrid setup produces a combined power output of 183 kW and 350 N.m of torque. Power is sent to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Volvo claims the mild-hybrid XC60 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The average fuel consumption is rated at 7.6 L/100 km.

The XC60 T8’s PHEV arrangement combines a turbo- and supercharged 2.0-litre petrol engine with a single electric motor to produce a combined 340 kW and 709 N.m of torque. Sending power to all four wheels is the same eight-speed self-shifter. The automaker claims this derivative sprints from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The PHEV XC60 has a claimed EV-only range of 81 km when its 19 kWh battery is fully charged, and offers an average fuel consumption of 1.8 L/100 km.

Standard equipment on the updated XC60 includes 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment, replete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. New wheel designs and colours add to the refreshed exterior styling, while the interior receives new materials and practical enhancements such as an improved wireless phone charger and enhanced storage solutions. LED headlamps, fore and aft heated seats, an electrically operated tailgate, climate control, a heated steering wheel, and keyless entry also ship as standard across the XC600 range.
