2005 Ford GT Owned by Fast & Furious Actor Paul Walker Heads to Auction

The 2005 Ford GT previously owned by the late Paul Walker is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer, drawing significant interest and a high bidding price.

Online auction platform Bring a Trailer has listed a 2005 Ford GT that formed part of late American actor Paul Walker’s “Always Evolving Collection”, a private car collection curated and managed through Always Evolving, the performance shop and motorsport team Walker co-founded with close friend and racer Roger Rodas. Walker, who is best known for his portrayal as Brian O’Connor in the Fast & Furious franchise, passed away 12 years ago, making vehicles from his collection especially sought-after by collectors and fans alike. The current bidding price is $562 000, or R9 604 066 at the current Rand-Dollar exchange rate.

This particular example, which has 59 547 km on the clock, is finished in Mark IV Red without racing stripes, making it one of 14 2005 Ford GTs with this paint scheme. The car also has a Steve Saleen signature on the engine subframe.

The example listed on the auction platform was also handed some modifications, including a set of Penske dampers, an Accufab throttle body, a tuned ECU, and an aftermarket exhaust system. The Ford GT rolls on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear twin-spoke wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. The car will be sold with a set of BBS forged lightweight aluminium wheels, shod in Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. The brake callipers are finished in red.

Stepping inside, the car has been fitted with a McIntosh radio with a CD player. Other nice-to-haves include keyless entry, air conditioning, and push-button start. The interior features ebony leather trim and rubber floor mats.

The Ford GT is powered by a supercharged 5.4-litre V8 engine, which delivers a healthy 410 kW and 677 N.m of torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
