Commemorating Ferdinand Alexander “Butzi” Porsche, the visionary designer who penned the 911, Porsche has unveiled a new limited-edition 911 GT3, the 90 F.A. A nod to the late designer, who would have celebrated his 9oth birthday in December 2025, only 90 examples will be made. Noteworthy, one of the 90 units has already been purchased by Ferdinand Alexander’s son, Mark.
Developed by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division, the commemorative model’s exterior and interior were inspired by F.A. Porsche’s own G-Series 911, which he drove in the 1980s. The 911 GT3 F.A.’s bodywork is finished in model-specific Green metallic paint inspired by F.A’s Oak Green metallic 911. Gold-coloured decals are also present. The limited-run model is fitted with a set of Sport Classic wheels, replete with the Stuttgart marque’s 1963 crest on the central-locking wheel caps.
The cabin features Truffle Brown Club leather upholstery and F.A. Grid-Weave fabric for the seat inserts, glove box, and luggage compartment mat. The latter trim draws inspiration from the pattern of F.A’s favourite jacket, and is made up of five colours: Black, Green, Truffle Brown, Cream, and Bordeaux Red. The interior further receives a specialised plaque with F.A. Porsche’s signature engraved on the open-pore walnut gear knob. Another gold-plated plaque with the 911’s silhouette and ‘One of 90’ can be found on the dashboard.
Based on the 911 GT3 Touring, the anniversary model is powered by a 4.0-litre flat-six, endowed with 375 kW and 450 N.m of torque. The naturally aspirated unit can be had with the choice of two transmission options: six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch (PDK). The manual- and PDK-equipped variants complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 and 3.4 seconds, respectively, before topping out at 311 and 313 km/h, respectively.
The 911 GT3 90 F.A. will be available to order from April 2026, and will include an exclusive edition of the Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch and a special weekender bag. The Porsche Junior, a sports sled originally designed by F.A. Porsche, is also available. Only 90 units of the carbon-fibre sled in matching spec will be made.
