The Mercedes-AMG A45 S is nearing the end of its life, with the German marque’s barnstorming hot hatch set to be discontinued in 2026. Now, in a fitting tribute, the Affalterbach brand has unleashed a new special edition. Meet the A45 S Final Edition.
Among an array of other items, the Final Edition package includes the AMG Night Package and AMG Night Package II, high-gloss black finish for the model badging, a darkened front grille, ‘Final Edition’ badging, and black brake callipers. Aluminium AMG trim elements are also present.

Listed on Mercedes-Benz’s local configurator, the Final Edition package is priced at R112 700. However, selecting this option “necessitates” several “adaptations”, such as the inclusion of the AMG Performance Seat Package Advanced (R82 000), Premium Package with Digital Extras (R35 900), 19-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels (R33 500), and auto front passenger airbag deactivate (R2 100); bringing the total to R260 900. As such, the AMG A45 S Final Edition will set you back R1 633 969. Included with the price as standard are a five-year/100 000 km maintenance plan and a warranty of similar duration and distance.

As a reminder, the A45 S employs a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 310 kW and 500 N.m of torque – the latter available from 5 000-5 250 r/min. According to the automaker, these figures allow the 1 605 kg (claimed) hot hatch to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds, before topping out at 270 km/h. Power is delivered to the road via the firm’s 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system, coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
