Jetour launched in South Africa in 2024, with the Chinese automaker’s initial SUV portfolio comprising the Dashing and X70 Plus. Now, the local arm of the Wuhu-based brand has introduced the updated Dashing and X70 Plus.
Both models now employ a more powerful 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which develops 125 kW and 270 N.m of torque – increases of 10 kW and 40 N.m over the pre-facelifted variants. The revised Dashing and X70 Plus ditch the previous six-speed dual-clutch transmission for a seven-speed dual-clutch.
The refreshed Dashing features red exterior and interior accents, an eight-speaker Sony sound system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic glass sunroof, privacy glass, and heated and ventilated seats on the range-topping derivative. The X70 Plus adopts a redesigned front grille, brushed aluminium accents and 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior receives dual-zone climate control, and heated and ventilated front seats – the latter reserved for the higher-trim variants.
The Dashing and X70 Plus are equipped with Level 2 ADAS, including high- and low-beam assist, a 540-degree surround-view camera system, front park distance sensors and six airbags. The X70 Plus is available in Onyx Black, Slate Grey, Forest Green, Ash Grey, and Glacier White. The Dashing adds Crimson Red, bringing the colourway to six hues.

Both models adopt a new nomenclature, with the two-strong lineups comprising the entry-level Prestige and flagship Prime derivatives – the former and latter replacing Momentum and Deluxe trim levels, respectively. The Dashing is priced from R429 900 to R479 900, while the X70 Plus ranges from R444 900 to R494 900. The starting prices dropped by R10 000, while the flagship variants’ pricing increased by the same amount. Included in the price are a five-year/60 000 km service plan, a five-year/150 000 km vehicle warranty and a 10-year/one million km engine warranty (for the first owner).
“These enhancements reflect our commitment to continually improving our products. The refreshed Dashing and X70Plus offer even greater style, comfort and technology, ensuring they remain compelling choices for both urban motorists and adventure-seeking families,” said Vice President of Jetour South Africa Nic Campbell.
