New Subaru models handed upgraded maintenance plan in SA

Subaru Southern Africa has announced every new model sold will feature an upgraded, five-year/105 000 km maintenance plan.

Subaru Southern Africa has announced it has upgraded the maintenance plan of all new models sold from 1 August 2026. Replacing the previous, three-year/75 000 km maintenance plan, the upgraded maintenance plan spans five years or 105 000 km. The plan includes scheduled services and specified wear-and-tear items. It covers parts such as brake pads, wiper blades, and battery replacements for the vehicle and key. The local arm of the Japanese automaker also provides customers the option of extending the plan to seven years/150 000 km at additional cost. Subaru’s five-year/150 000 km vehicle warranty remains unchanged, and is still included as standard with every new model.

“Moving from three years/75 000 km to five years/105 000 km represents a meaningful enhancement to the value included with every new Subaru,” said Nteo Nkoli, National Marketing Manager at Subaru Southern Africa. “By extending our standard maintenance cover, we are making the Subaru ownership proposition more compelling while remaining true to the safety, quality and capability for which Subaru is known.”

Provided the vehicles are sold through authorised dealers networks, all new models – Forester, Crosstrek, WRX and Outback – will be sold with the new maintenance plan. The new Outback will officially launch in SA in December 2026.
