Exclusive to the hatchback, the ‘60th Anniversary’ treatment includes a selection of model-specific exterior and interior elements. Starting with the exterior, the Corolla Hatch 60th Anniversary edition’s bodywork is finished in Platinum White Pearl, the latter complemented by a contrasting black roof. Present and correct, ‘60th Anniversary’ badging can be found inside and out.

As a reminder, in January 2026, Toyota’s local arm announced it had streamlined its Corolla Hatch and Sedan lineups to include only high-spec (XR) hybrid models. As such, in addition to the ‘60th Anniversary’ elements, the special edition features such items as 12.3-inch digital instrumentation, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charging dock, a six-speaker audio system, and dual-zone climate control. Further included with XR trim are a reverse-view camera, supplemented by fore and aft park distance sensors, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Corolla Hatch is equipped with seven airbags and features Isofix child-seat mounting points.

Locally, pricing for the Corolla lineup kicks off at R590 200 for the Sedan, with the Hatch priced from R601 100. The 60th Anniversary demands a R17 800 premium over the latter, at R618 900. Included as standard are a six services/90 000 km service plan, three-year/100 000 km vehicle warranty, and a battery warranty spanning eight years or 195 000 km.

As mentioned, a single powertrain option is employed by the Hatch and Sedan. The hybrid setup comprises a 1.8-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and a single electric motor. The new-energy powertrain produces a combined power output of 103 kW, delivered to the front wheels via a CVT. The Japanese automaker claims an average fuel consumption of 4.0 L/100 km, which translates to a driving range of 1 075 km from a full, 43-litre tank of fuel.
