iCaur 03T REEV confirmed for South Africa in Q4 2026

Penned in to join iCaur’s local 03T range, which currently comprises two battery-electric (BEV) models, in the fourth quarter of 2026, the 03T REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) features a single, rear-mounted electric motor coupled with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol internal combustion engine (ICE). The ICE powertrain serves as a generator for the SUV’s 33.67 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack.

The 03T REEV produces 185 kW and 300 N.m of torque, delivered to the road via the rear wheels. iCaur claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 7.9 seconds and a 170 km/h top speed. For comparison, the rear-wheel-drive 03T BEV produces 135 kW and 220 N.m – good for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 10.5 seconds and a 150 km/h top speed.

The 03T REEV’s LFP battery serves up a claimed electric-only operating range of 190 km (NEDC). The REEV powertrain offers an “estimated” combined driving range of 800 km, the firm says. The LFP battery supports AC and DC charging. Plugged into a DC fast charger, a 30-80% charge takes “around” 20 minutes, iCaur claims. The 03T REEV also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, which allows owners to use their car as a mobile power source for external devices such as small appliances.

Stepping inside, the 03T REEV’s interior plays host to 9.2-inch digital instrumentation, 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment, replete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50 W wireless smartphone charging tray, and an eight-speaker sound system. The cabin is upholstered in leather, with the front seats offering electric adjustment and ventilation. Adaptive cruise control and a 540-degree surround-view camera system are also included as standard.

iCaur has yet to announce local pricing for the 03T REEV. The two BEV models currently available are priced from R639 900 and R699 900 for the 2WD and iWD, respectively.
