The Triton Heritage Edition will be the latest model to join the Mitsubishis bakkie lineup however this will be limited to 50, numbered vehicles. Included in the purchase price is an exclusive VIP customer care experience which will afford the buyers of the bakkie with a combined accessory and experiential upgrades valued at R70 000.

“Bakkies occupy a very special place in the hearts and lives of South Africans and Mitsubishi bakkies have a long and distinguished heritage in South Africa, if you think about the legacy of the Colt and now the growth of the more improved Triton,” says Jeffrey Allison, General Manager: Marketing at Mitsubishi Motors South Africa (MMSA).

Changes for the Triton Heritage Edition

The bakkie will incorporate copious use of black trim pieces which includes a lower scuff plate, grille, wheel arch cladding and roof bars. To further distinguish it from the standard model, the front fenders are adorned with numbered Heritage badges, solidifying its special edition status.

Standard equipment includes a rear tow bar, and a rubberised load bin fitted with a black Keko roll bar and enclosed by a black tonneau cover.

Included in the box is the opportunity to join a bespoke 4×4 club, whose first activity will be an experience that will allow owners to get to know their vehicle intimately under the guidance of expert instructors. They will gain access to an exclusive and specially curated off-roading experience trip, which will showcase the beauty and heritage of South Africa in their own vehicles.
