Mitsubishi Adds Exceed Derivative to Outlander Range

Mitsubishi has introduced three new derivatives to its Outlander range, offering new entry-level and range-topping trims.

The Mitsubishi Outlander range consists of five derivatives. All derivatives derive power from a 2.5-litre Duel VVT DOHC four-cylinder petrol engine feeding power to all four wheels. Mated to the 135 kW/ 245 N.m powerplant is affixed to an eight-speed CVT, attributing to the 8.1 L/100km fuel consumption claim. The entry-level GL model is outfitted with a broad array of features such as rear parking sensors, heated door mirrors, heated synthetic leather-wrapped seats with suede, cruise control, a 7-inch driver display, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED daytime running lights.

Supercedding the GL is the GLS derivative, which, atop the GL derivative features, is equipped with 20-inch wheels, a digital speedometer, an a 12.3-inch digital driver display, an electric tailgate, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic headlights, and a three-zone climate control system. The new GL Plus derivative offers the same package as the models it supersedes, in addition to Mitsubishi’s Multi Around Monitor.

The Aspire model is distinguished from the GL, GLS and GLS Plus models by way of its panoramic sunroof, eight-way adjustable leather seats with lumbar support, and a 9.0-inch display. The Exceed offers the same specifications as the rest of its stablemates. Additionally, the range-topping model offers elements such as smartphone wireless charging, a BOSE 10-speaker sound system, and a multi-angle view monitor.
