The locally available iteration of the G82 M4 features the sonorous S58 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight six, capable of outputting 375 kW and 650 N.m. BMW has increased the maximum output by 15 kW, resulting in a total output of 390 kW generated at 6 250 r/min. BMW achieved this power increase by modifying the engine’s control system. Torque and the power band have seemingly been undisturbed.

Notable revisions to the M4’s exterior design include the new headlights and taillights. The new vertical LED headlights are a standard feature and offer low and high beams produced by the same LED module. Furthermore, adaptive LED headlights with anti-glare matrix high beams are also available. LED taillights rely on the same laser technology and design that debuted on the limited edition M4 CSL. Another notable addition to the exterior is the addition of new M forged light-alloy wheels, available in 19-inch and 20-inch configurations. BMW also offers the option to adorn the bonnet and rear lid with optional M design graphics akin to the graphics that laden the M4 CSL’s physique.

The M-specific cockpit has been revised and now features a handful of new components such as the new steering wheel, but also includes the use of “high-class” materials and ambience lighting. The M leather steering wheel has adopted a new design, which is characterised by its flat bottom and revised spokes. Most notably, the cockpit features a BMW Curved Display, which consists of a 12.3-inch display behind the steering wheel and a 14.9-inch control monitor. The Curved Display relies on the BMW Operating System 8.5.
