Auto China, which is taking place until early May will see international automakers display their latest wares and tech at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing. Chery is among them, gearing up to host a dedicated Eco Exhibition from 27 April, focusing on green energy and sustainable technology within the firm’s repertoire.
“Chery will show visitors that its new products and new technologies align perfectly with traditional customer values such as performance, safety, and luxury,” – Tony Liu, the Deputy General Manager of Chery South Africa.
A highlight of Chery’s exhibits at Auto China will be the new T2X platform, which will serve as the foundation for many of Chery’s future models, including upcoming Tiggo Pro variants. One of the key features is an adaptive magnetic suspension system that uses stepless variable resistors to adjust damping within milliseconds. This system is paired with a hydraulic chassis damping system that reduces vibrations by 30% compared to traditional setups. The platform also features a dual-pinion electric steering system tuned by BOSCH, offering precise control and excellent feedback to the driver.
Furthermore, the T2X platform includes a full-scene all-wheel-drive system with intelligent control. This system can shift power within 0.1 seconds between axles, with the rear axle capable of handling up to 3 000 N.m of torque.

In addition to the T2X platform, Chery will also showcase its latest QPower technology. This next-generation Plug-in Hybrid system incorporates direct injection and a deep Miller cycle engine, achieving an impressive 44.5% thermal efficiency with a power output of 115 kW. The system’s low-temperature exhaust gas recirculation is key at enhancing efficiency.
In addition, Chery will also be presenting at the Global Dealer Conference in Beijing which will discuss the possibilities of autonomous driving and how the Chinese automaker plans to create an environment where drivers can focus on entertainment, work, or relaxation while on the road.

“As the industry gravitates away from producing conventional vehicles towards creating intelligent mobile environments, it must consider the four major automotive trends setting the pace: electrification, connectivity, smart technology integration and shared mobility,” says Liu.
Providing a glimpse into the future of the firm’s automotive technology, Chery hopes the Auto China show in Beijing will further cement it as one of the country’s most successful vehicle exporters.
