2025 Lexus RX Adds F-Sport Design Trim and Black Line Edition

Lexus is refreshing the RX lineup for 2025 with several notable updates, headlined by the introduction of a new Black Line Special Edition and the F Sport Design trim. These additions aim to enhance the appeal of the popular crossover by offering more style and performance-oriented options.

The Black Line Special Edition stands out with its distinct exterior features. Based on the RX 500h F Sport Performance model, this edition showcases a striking Incognito finish complemented by black accents. The F Sport Design trim, available exclusively on the RX 350 and RX 350h, brings a sportier aesthetic to these models. Building on the Premium grade, this trim introduces F Sport-specific styling elements, including an aggressive front fascia, a distinctive grille, and a redesigned rear valence.

The interior is adorned with black open-pore wood trim, the Black Line carries its bold theme with a two-tone black interior, highlighted by grey contrast stitching. The exterior features 21-inch wheels with a black finish, contrasted by vibrant orange brake calipers, reinforcing the athletic look of the RX.

Under the bonnet, the RX offers a variety of powertrain options to suit different driving preferences. The RX 350 is equipped with a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine, delivering 205 kW of power at 6 000 r/min and 430 N.m of torque from as low as 1 700 r/min. For those seeking a more efficient option, the RX 350h features a hybrid powertrain producing 184 kW and 316 N.m of torque.

Additionally, Lexus continues to offer the RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, which pairs a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with three electric motors and an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This combination results in a total output of 227 kW and provides an electric-only range of 56 km, catering to eco-conscious drivers. For those prioritizing performance, the RX 500h F Sport Performance stands at the top of the range, boasting a powerful 273 kW and 550 N.m of torque. This model is designed for drivers who desire a blend of luxury and high performance, making it a compelling choice in the RX lineup.
