A digital rendering provides a preview of what a modernised version of the Italian coupe would look like which originally captured the imagination of automotive enthusiasts since its production run from 1970 to 1977. Artist Luca Serafini, known as lsdesignsrl on social media, has presented a fresh vision of this iconic vehicle, imagining a modern GT version that pays homage to its storied past.

Originally designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone, the Montreal made its debut at the 1967 International and Universal Exhibition in Montreal, Canada. Its striking design features a long hood, short rear, and an aggressive stance that continues to resonate with car lovers. The sharp lines and prominent air intakes reflect the bold style synonymous with Italian automotive design, making Montreal a standout even decades later.

Inside, the Montreal showcases a driver-focused cockpit that marries luxury with sportiness. High-quality materials and a distinctive instrument cluster highlight Alfa Romeo’s dedication to craftsmanship, creating an inviting space for drivers.

At the heart of the Montreal is a 2.6-litre V8 engine which was the last production V8 from Alfa Romeo. With approximately 147 kW of power and 245 N.m of torque, it is known for its high-revving performance and distinctive sound. The car features a five-speed manual transmission, enhancing the driving experience and allowing enthusiasts to feel fully connected to the road.
The handling of the Montreal is equally noteworthy. Its lightweight chassis, combined with a double-wishbone front suspension and a De Dion rear axle, that is said to deliver a balance of comfort and sportiness. This configuration allows for responsive steering and agile cornering, making it a joy to drive on winding roads or open highways.
