The E-408 blends the sleek design of a fastback with zero-emissions efficiency, offering a more environmentally friendly driving experience without compromising on style. At the heart of the E-408 is a single, front-mounted electric motor, delivering 157 kW and 345 N.m of torque. This setup enables a range of up to 453 km on a single charge, according to WLTP figures, thanks to its 58.2 kWh nickel-metal cobalt (NMC) lithium-ion battery pack. With a claimed energy consumption of 15.2 kWh/100 km, the E-408 aims to be both efficient and practical for everyday use.

Charging flexibility is another highlight. The E-408 supports AC charging of up to 11 kW and DC fast charging of up to 120 kW, enabling a 20 to 80% recharge in just over 30 minutes. Peugeot’s integrated trip planner simplifies the charging process for long-distance travel.

Drivers can select from three driving modes – Normal, Eco, and Sport – and adjust regenerative-braking intensity using paddle shifters. These features enhance driving dynamics and provide a customisable experience suited to various conditions.

Globally, the E-408 is available in two trims: Allure and GT. The Peugeot E-408 Allure comes equipped with LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit featuring a 10-inch customisable digital instrument cluster, and connected navigation with a trip planner. It also includes OK PEUGEOT voice command, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, a heated driver’s seat and steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear camera and parking sensors, and a heat pump, among other features.

Safety remains a priority across the range, with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring included as standard. Peugeot also backs the E-408 with an eight-year/160 000 km warranty through its Allure Care programme, providing added peace of mind for electric vehicle customers.
