Building on the expertise Hyundai has gained in the Touring Car Racing (TCR) World Tour since joining the series in 2017, the TCR Edition draws heavily from the brand’s racing success and technical know-how.
The Elantra N TCR Edition is equipped with several race-bred upgrades designed to enhance both its performance and visual appeal. One of the standout features is the lightweight, adjustable carbon-fiber Swan Neck spoiler, which helps optimize downforce for various driving conditions. The sedan also boasts 19-inch N TCR forged wheels, offering both reduced weight and improved rigidity, while N Performance four-piston brakes provide enhanced stopping power.
Under the bonnet, this edition remains closely aligned with the standard Elantra N, powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. This powertrain delivers 206 kW, with an additional 10 kW available via the “N Grin Shift” over-boost function, generating a peak 392 N.m of torque. While the TCR Edition doesn’t feature any major mechanical changes, its enhancements are designed to further bolster its track-ready character.

Inside, the Elantra N TCR Edition features motorsport-inspired touches, including an Alcantara steering wheel with a Performance Blue top marker, exclusive TCR Edition badging, and matching blue seatbelts. Special decals will also be available in South Korea, further emphasizing its racing heritage.
Hyundai plans to launch the Elantra N TCR Edition in South Korea in December, with a global rollout expected in 2025. The Elantra ceased sale locally several years ago so there is also no chance that this race-inspired sedan will make its way to South African shores.
