The real reason we are all here is the RS 6 Avant GT, which has a V8 delivering an impressive 463 kW and 850 N.m of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h. Not just any RS 6, the model came in Arkona White with accents in Audi Sport’s signature black, grey, and red, along with high-gloss white alloy wheels.

The auction, held at Cavalli Estate on 7 November, brought together enthusiasts, collectors, and philanthropists. The star of the evening was the final edition RS 6 Avant GT, a vehicle that epitomizes Audi’s commitment to engineering excellence. The event also highlighted a broader purpose, dedicating part of the proceeds to the Kutlwanong Centre to drive social impact.

Kutlwanong is a non-profit organisation that works to improve mathematics and science education for youth in underserved communities across South Africa. Established in 2005, it aims to develop future professionals in critical fields such as engineering, commerce, technology, and science. Over nearly two decades, the organisation has cultivated young leaders and innovators, empowering them to contribute significantly to the country’s economy.

Sascha Sauer, Head of Audi South Africa, remarked: “We are immensely proud to support the Kutlwanong Centre for Maths, Science and Technology with this donation. The Centre’s commitment to improving science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education aligns perfectly with Audi’s vision of progress and innovation. By growing a pipeline of talent in engineering and science, we not only empower South Africa’s youth but also contribute to the future of industries like automotive manufacturing that rely on these critical skills.”
