Citroën’s local arm has entered the South African light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment with the introduction of the C3 Hola panel van, which is based on its entry-level C3 hatchback that was introduced to the SA market in May 2023. According to Stellantis, this comes as a response to a “fast-growing” need for sub-half-tonne vehicles.

The C3 Hola panel van replaces the second row of seats with a fully enclosed payload bay – the latter offering a 386 kg capacity – integrated bulkhead and secure load tie-down points. The interior is fitted with a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, replete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7.0-inch digital instrumentation cluster, air conditioning, and a multifunction steering wheel. Safety features include six airbags, as well as ABS with EBD, and rear park distance sensors.

Citroën C3 Hola panel van price in SA

The C3 Hola panel van is priced from R242 500, making it R32 400 less expensive than the (passenger-oriented) base-spec C3 1.2 Max and R75 400 less expensive than the top-spec C3 1.2T Max. Included in the price is a five-year/100 000 km warranty and a service plan spanning two years or 30 000 km.

Powering the Hola panel van is the automaker’s ‘PureTech’ 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine, which develops 60 kW and 115 N.m of torque. The atmospheric unit is exclusively coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. Citroën claims an average fuel consumption of 5.6 L/100 km.
