All-new Audi Q3: price and specs

Audi South Africa has launched the third-generation Q3, revealing pricing for the premium compact SUV. Available in both SUV and Sportback body styles, the new Q3 is offered with a choice of TFSI petrol and TDI diesel powertrains.

The latest Q3 introduces a wider ‘Singleframe’ front grille, slimmer lighting elements, a distinctive shoulder line spanning the length of the car, and more pronounced wheel arches. Optional digital matrix LED headlamps, digital OLED taillamps, and illuminated Audi logo on the tailgate are available for the first time on the Q3. Buyers can choose from 11 exterior colours and six wheel options – the latter ranging from 18 to 20 inches in size.

Inside, the Q3 gains Audi’s latest digital cockpit, comprising an 11.9-inch driver’s display and a 12.8-inch MMI infotainment touchscreen. Other standard features include MMI navigation plus with Audi Connect services, Audi Application Store, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, leather/artificial leather upholstery, and an electric tailgate.

Thanks to a sliding second row, boot capacity increases from a claimed 488 to 575 litres. With the second row stowed away, loading capacity increases to 1 386 litres in the SUV and 1 289 litres in the Sportback.

Standard safety equipment includes seven airbags, the latter including a front seat interaction airbag, front and rear parking sensors, and lane departure warning. Buyers can further enhance specification through the optional Tech, Tech Plus and Tech Pro packages.

Petrol variants are powered by a 1.4-litre TFSI four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 110 kW and 250 N.m of torque. The turbodiesel-powered Q3’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder develops 110 kW and 360 N.m. Both powertrains are paired with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.

Audi Q3 price in SA

The Q3 is available in four flavours for both powertrain options: base, Advanced, S line and S line Black. The Q3 TFSI is priced from R814 200 for the SUV and R849 200 for the Sportback. The TDI-powered SUV and Sportback range starts at R852 500 and R887 500, respectively. All models are sold with Audi’s five-year/100 000 km Freeway Plan.
