Earlier in 2026, VW showcased the T7 Multivan Caravelle at its annual Indaba in East London. Now, the German automaker has revealed pricing for the latest Caravelle, as pre-orders for this new model has officially opened.

The T7 Multivan Caravelle employs a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. The PHEV setup pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a single electric motor. The PHEV arrangement develops combined power and torque outputs of 180 kW and 350 N.m, delivered to the road via the German automaker’s 4Motion all-wheel drivetrain – the latter exclusively paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Standard equipment includes VW’s Digital Cockpit Pro, which comes in the shape of a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen incorporating wireless App-Connect smartphone screen mirroring, and 30-colour ambient lighting that extends to the second row footwell. Three-zone Air Care Climatronic climate control is also present.

The cabin features a seven-seater configuration, a multifunction table, and an additional control panel in the passenger compartment. The package further includes electric sliding side doors and an electrically operated tailgate. The second and third rows of seats are mounted on a sliding rail system; allowing for customised seating configurations.

The T7 Multivan Caravelle is equipped with the Wolfsburg brand’s latest safety systems, including IQ. Light LED matrix headlamps, and Park Assist and Front Assist with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring. Adaptive cruise Control is included as standard.

The VW T7 Multivan Caravelle Style is priced from R1 794 000. Included in the pricing are a three-year/120 000 km warranty and a maintenance plan spanning five-years or 100 000 km.
